September 26th-30th the Georgia Health Care Association (GHCA) held their annual Georgia Association of Nurses in Long Term Care Conference at the Savannah Riverfront Marriott. This year’s agenda focused on nursing leadership and was designed to help attendees excel in this time of healthcare transformation.
Vivian and Mary-Tellis Nayak presented on The Return of Compassion to Healthcare: The Director of Nursing’s role, and Dr. Adrienne Mims with Alliant Quality facilitated a thought provoking and vital discussion on advance care planning and the end of life decisions followed by the viewing of the highly acclaimed film Being Mortal.
This conference was open to RN’s, LPN’s, Nurses, and DON’s with a huge turnout.
