This year more than $30,000 in donations were raised at the Statesboro walk, with that number continuing to rise. For more information on how you can donate to the event and help raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer’s disease, click here.
Each Walk to END Alzheimer’s event features The Promise Garden with different color flowers highlighting the reasons why participants walk. Purple stands for losing someone to Alzheimer’s disease. Orange shows support for the cause and a vision of a world without Alzheimer’s. Yellow means participants support or care for someone with Alzheimer’s, and blue is for those participants who have Alzheimer’s.
